Loch Rannoch Hotel and Estate

Nice hotel in a great location. With good sized and clean rooms. The bar meals in the evening can be busy and they weren't able to accomodate for one night. Also, breakfast starts quite late at 8 am, so can be very busy a hectic when it does begin. A 7 am breakfast start would ease that and be helpful for business travellers and walkers with an early start.

We booked a very last minute overnight through 5pm which was for a "Contemporary double or twin room with full Scottish breakfast + bottle of Prosecco on arrival" for £149. We also booked a couple of 30min massages at the spa for the next day. Overall we had a lovely time. The hotel has been refurbished and looks great. Our room was large (could fit a larger bed!) and had kind of loch views. The trees have kind of overgrown the view and we had a rather unfortunate prime view of the bin recycling area for the resort (room 104). Check in was straightforward and our room was nice, fresh and comfortable. It was well equipped (except no slippers and robes which would expect in a spa hotel) and clean. We had made a dinner reservation for the "fine dining" restaurant, and had a table next to the window with view of Schiehallion. The service was friendly and the food was great, really enjoyed our meal. We then had a wander around the grounds and to the loch, and sat on the terrace with a drink. Bring midge spray, we were eaten alive but the views are worth it Slept great and despite being on the 1st floor didn't hear any other room noises so that was good. The hotel didn't seem very busy as it was mid week so we appreciated the peace and quiet!! Breakfast was also good, there's a hot and cold buffet and a a la carte menu if you wanted to pay extra with things like pancakes and french toast on it. The little breakfast room almost feels like a separate cafe, it's nicely done. It would be nice if there was an option to eat outside or have coffee outside on a nice day. We checked out at 1100am and went to the spa. The entrance and spa areas are new/have been done up but the changing areas and pool areas are in definite need of freshening up/refurbishment. We used the facilities and were the only people there for most of the time which was ideal! We had our massages one after the other as the place is small and there's only one therapist. Really enjoyed our massages, would highly recommend. Overall a really enjoyable overnight break. Would recommend

This hotel is in a beautiful location! It’s an older building with lots of character and charm. The room was comfy and quiet. I liked sitting at the table by the window looking out at the Loch after a day of exploring. Breakfast was delicious with both hot and cold options available. I was there two nights as part of a tour package. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Called by to Wild Brownie as a day visitor. Really friendly helpful staff. Fabulous location with the best views of Loch Rannoch and Scheihallion. Lunch at Brownie Bar, soup and a pint was excellent. Soup of the day was Tomato, homemade and delicious.

Sam and George are the best at the bar! Service and the rooms are great. We will come back when we will stay at Scotland once more. Very warm welcome and nice room. We could say nothing which speak against this hotel. So enjoy your trip and stay here.

What a lovely property! Stayed here leading a group through the highlands and would absolutely recommend it. Although a bit remote, the scenery is just stunning and exactly what we were looking for after being in the city for a few nights. The restaurants on site are also lovely and the staff could not have been more accommodating and friendly. Big thanks to Anne at reception for making sure things ran smoothly for us during our stay!

Absolutely fabulous place...the views, the room, the luxurious night's sleep, the food/drink, just the whole vibe. You never really know if a place is going to be as great as it seems online...this was a very pleasant surprise. It not only met but exceeded all expectations. Definitely hope to go back some day.

Second time staying at this fabulous well run hotel. Service is fantastic. Staff are great. Food is exceptional especially breakfast. Views of the loch and schiehallion mountain are breathtaking. Rooms well maintained and very clean. Great nights sleep had as the bed was bliss.
